Japan Targets 2040s for Next-Generation Nuclear Reactor Operations
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has unveiled a roadmap aiming for the operation of next-generation "innovative light water reactors," which are advanced versions of current nuclear power plants with enhanced safety, by the 2040s.
