No decision on ethanol blending beyond 20%: Govt
The government has stated no decision exists to raise ethanol blending beyond twenty percent. Lower-blended fuel or pure petrol will not be available at select outlets. Any future diesel blending will depend on evaluations and stakeholder consultations. The transition to E20 has been phased and evidence-based, with gradual increases. Claims of vehicle damage from E20 are largely misleading or unsupported by technical evidence.
