BJP councillor, 2 aides booked for assaulting Mahad council chief

An FIR was filed against a BJP councillor and two aides for assaulting an administrative officer. The assault occurred after the councillor questioned the non-resolution of a damaged water pipeline. The chief officer was reportedly hit with an umbrella and punched during the altercation. Council employees struck work demanding the immediate arrest of the accused individuals. Police have issued notices for cooperation in the ongoing investigation and court proceedings.
