Former EFTA Court President Clarifies Iceland's EU Application Status

Carl Baudenbacher, former president of the EFTA Court, stated that Icelandic authorities withdrew their EU application in 2015, asserting that it is incorrect to discuss continuing accession talks and urging the government to be transparent.

Carl Baudenbacher, fyrrverandi forseti EFTA-dómstólsins, segir íslensk stjórnvöld hafa afturkallað ESB-umsóknina árið 2015 og því sé rangt að tala um að halda viðræðum áfram. Ríkisstjórnin og Alþingi þurfi að koma hreint fram um þetta.
