11 migrant landings in 36 hours on Lampedusa, 396 people at the hotspot
(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 27 - Five landings occurred in Lampedusa, with a total of 144 migrants, between night and early morning. Coast Guard and Guardia di Finanza patrol boats rescued the small boats and dinghies carrying between 6 and 64 Bangladeshis, Egyptians, Syrians, and Pakistanis.
