Icelandic Arctic Fox Population Declines by 40% But Not Endangered
The population of Arctic foxes in Iceland has decreased by 40% over the past 14 years, with an estimated 4,700 adult animals remaining compared to 7,800 in 2011. Despite the significant decline, a new conservation assessment indicates the species is not currently considered endangered.
