As relations sour, signs anti-Japanese sentiment rising in China
In the last week Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has called for building stable ties with neighbouring China. The statement follows months of sour relations between the two nations that were sparked when Takaichi suggested Tokyo could take military action if Beijing were to invade Taiwan. With relations at a low, China has also seen a rise in anti-Japanese sentiment, sparked by Takaichi’s comments, as Jan Camenzind Broomby reports.
