Portuguese Parliament Rejects Hate Crime Bill
The Portuguese Parliament has rejected a proposed bill aimed at combating hate crimes, which sought to increase penalties to between six months and eight years. The bill faced opposition from right-wing parties and an abstention from socialist deputy Filipe Neto.
