Spain's Inflation Remains High While EU Rates Decline

Spain is the only major EU economy where inflation did not decrease in June, remaining at 3.6% compared to the European average of 2.8%. Across the monetary union, the general index moderated from 3.2% to 2.8%, which reduces the likelihood of another interest rate hike by the ECB in July.
