Sirens sound at Akrotiri as residents told to take cover in new security threat

Air raid sirens sounded again at RAF Akrotiri at 10:20 on Monday as an ongoing security threat prompted authorities to order residents to remain indoors and take cover. Residents were advised to move away from windows and shelter behind or beneath solid furniture until further official notice.
