74 Companies Pointed Out for Hiding Income, Remitting Funds to Hong Kong for Kickbacks, Says National Tax Agency
The National Tax Agency has conducted simultaneous tax investigations nationwide, identifying 74 companies that hid over 3 billion yen in income. It was discovered that companies remitted funds to Hong Kong under the guise of obtaining overseas information, which were then used for kickbacks and the creation of slush funds. According to sources, large-scale income hiding is believed to have been guided by a Chinese consultant through "inter-industry exchange meetings."
