Heavy monsoon rains cause havoc and closures in Mumbai and Maharashtra
Heavy to very heavy rainfall has wreaked havoc across parts of India, particularly in Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, leading to a red alert. Schools and colleges in Mumbai have been closed as a precautionary measure, and transport between Pune and Mumbai has been disrupted due to flooded highways and railway tracks.
