Aaron Brooks Receives Two Year Ban For Anti-Doping Rules Violation

The US Anti-Doping Agency announced today that an independent arbiter has determined that Aaron Brooks will receive a two-year suspension for "testing positive for an anabolic agent during an out-of-competition drug test on April 21, 2025". Brooks, a four-time NCAA champion at Penn State from the years 2021-2024 and an Olympic bronze medalist at 86kg in men's freestyle at the 2024 Paris Olympics, tested positive for an "anabolic agent of exogenous origin", which in this case was DHEA. The independent arbiter heard cases from both Brooks and his representatives and USADA to determine if Brooks had "met his burden of establishing that his violations were unintentional and if so, whether he can establish no significant fault or negligence."
