Gujarat district tense after ‘idols’ spotted in 700-year-old ASI protected mosque

Bharuch police and administration have heightened security due to ASI concerns over a planned gathering of 5,000 people on June 15. A socio-religious group claims Hindu and Jain idols are within the protected Jama Masjid monument and seeks their preservation, fearing communal tension and damage to the structure.
