Wolt to ban courier account sharing in Finland

Wolt will stop couriers in Finland from sharing or renting delivery accounts from August as the company tightens controls ahead of new platform work and alcohol delivery laws. The food delivery company said only verified account holders will be allowed to complete deliveries through the platform from 1 August. The change will apply in stages across Finland. Wolt said the move follows internal efforts launched earlier this year to detect and prevent account misuse.
