Actor Stephen Amell will star in the sequel to the legendary nineties series

More than 2,000 hopefuls descended on Marina del Rey, its local Marriott and nearby Mother’s Beach last week to audition for a part in Fox and Fremantle’s reboot of the iconic TV series.

“No matter how hard I work, we are going to cast someone in their early 20s on this show and they’ll be able to roll out of bed with an eight-pack and there’s not a thing I can do about it,” jokes Amell.
