Elderly Man Detained for Arson in Portugal, Held in Pre-trial Detention

A septuagenarian has been detained in flagrante delicto by the GNR for setting fire to approximately one thousand square meters of bush during "Operation Safe Forest 2026" and has been placed in pre-trial detention.
